We did it!!!

Yes, after months and months of training we finally participated in the Breast Cancer 3-Day this weekend. It was so awesome, beyond words really.

I'm trying to add some pictures but wanted to post a HUGE thank you for everyone who supported us on our journey! We raised $9,000 and the Atlanta walkers raised $5.6 million!!

Fundraiser at Chick-fil-A, Monday June 8th

Please join us at the Chick-fil-A at Macland and Powder Springs Road, Monday June 8th. If we send 100 people to CFA that day then they will donate a percentage of their proceeds from the ENTIRE day to support our team in the 3-Day walk!! Please be sure to let them know you are there to support Pennys Platoon - and visit as MANY times as you can that day! (Hours are 6 am - 10 pm).

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure was in Atlanta on Saturday, May 9th. We had an early start to the day so we could get to Atlantic Station to find parking. It was a fantastic event, very organized and a great 5k walk. Hope you can join us next year!!

Celebration of Survival

Penny I. and her family hosted a fantastic Celebration of Survival party this past Saturday up at Lake Allatoona. We had a terrific time and enjoyed great food, weather and company....and the kids enjoyed the swings and jumpies!

New Baby

Penny B's newest family member, Sopapilla! She is a 9 pound Chihuahua that is 1 year old. She was rescued from a puppy mill and is LOVING her new home!

Shoe Shopping

Who doesn't LOVE shoe shopping? Mom took me out last week and treated me to a new pair of shoes and lunch for my Birthday. We went to Big Peach Running Co. and it was the BEST experience. We went to the one off of Barrett Parkway and highly recommend Lucas! He spent over two hours with us! We made quite a mess trying on dozens of shoes. They film you walking on the treadmill to see if you pronate etc. and to find what type of shoe will work best for you. If you are doing lots of walking or running they suggest getting 1/2 to a full size bigger shoe. I'm so glad I took his advice because my new shoes ROCK! Thanks Mom!
